Lumix Festival mobil

The Lumix Festival Mobil is a temporary, mobile art event in public space, an analogue exhibition concept for the digital Festival. The Lumix Festival Mobil has been organised by the Photojournalism and Documentary Photography as well as the Interior Design programmes of Hanover University of Applied Sciences and Arts.

On all 10 Festival days, we will be driving through the city with our Lumix Festival Mobil, creating visibility for the #lumixfestivaldigital, showing large-format photographs and engaging in conversation with the citizens of Hanover – while respecting current hygiene regulations, of course.

»A Festival thrives on exchange and personal encounters between photographers and visitors - we don’t want to miss out on that! The Lumix Festival Mobil will bring the Festival to the city and create a space for engaging discussions of photography and visual journalism.«

On each Festival weekend (Fri-Sun), a large-format bulletin board will present a question concerning the competition projects, photography or society. Visitors can discuss, answer or examine these questions on-site with the Lumix Festival team. The rear side of the board will display individual pictures from our 50 photo series and 18 multimedia projects. New pictures will be added every day and presented in relationship to each other.
