How can young female photographers be supported?
How can I empower myself?

The Lumix Festival as a form of empowerment: What can the Lumix Festival for Young Visual Journalism do to support women authors, and how can we support them at the outset of their careers? Ilvy Nijokiktjien tells us about when she won the 2012 Lumix Multimedia Award and how this has influenced her professional development as a photographer. She is now represented by a renowned photo agency and has submitted a project to this year’s Digital Storytelling category.

Is your photography stuck in a rut? Do you have a good idea but don’t know the next step? Photography coach Silke Güldner is hosting a raffle to award five 20-minute speed-coaching sessions on Empowerment Day. Find out how to enter the draw on Instagram and Facebook.

At 5:00 pm, our glamorous award ceremony will take place. Prizes including a combined sum of 14,000 euros, as well as two LUMIX cameras, will be awarded among all our exhibiting authors.

Digital festival visitors also have the chance to win: submit your vote for the best picture series or digital story and you might win one of three Panasonic cameras.
