We love books, we love photography. The photo book is an ideal medium for joining these loves. We want to publish books on fascinating themes, with excellent photography by outstanding photographers, but we also want to use them to take essential topics into the heart of society. We aim for the perfect book by approaching it with a passionate creative drive. We founded Edition Lammerhuber 10 years ago. Since then we have put many exciting books on the international market and gathered numerous awards for them. Three times in a row, Edition Lammerhuber was voted best photo book publisher in Europe. Our passion for photography has also led us into other areas of photography: In 2013 we created the Global Peace Photo Award, since 2018 we organize annually the largest open-air photo festival in Europe, the Festival La Gacilly-Baden Photo, in Baden.

Edition Lammerhuber organizes the biggest European Photo Festival

For four months each year, the Festival La Gacilly-Baden Photo turns the city of Baden into a city of images. In an immense open-air gallery, the Who‘s Who of photography presents 2000 large-format pictures on the overall theme of Humans and their Relation to the Environment. In 2020 the festival invites the public from 14 July to 26 October to marvel at the pictures gathered under the motto All Eyes East.

Edition Lammerhuber initiates the first Photo Competition on the Theme of Peace

Founded in 2013 in Vienna, the Global Peace Photo Award, worth 10 000 Euros, honours the peace photo of the year. The award is presented each September in the rooms of the Austrian parliament, in partnership with Photographische Gesellschaft, UNESCO, the Austrian Parliament, the International Press Institute, the German Youth Photography Awards and World Press Photo.
