Anna Fritsche
Hear Our Voices

Anna Fritsche met with women affected by physical or sexual violence. Around the world, one in three women has experienced sexual or physical violence, and 120 million girls have experienced sexual abuse. Sexual violence has a broad spectrum: cases range from grave acts to seemingly insignificant occurrences, from gross insults to routine behaviours so widely accepted that women often lack the confidence to raise their voices. In this project, women who have experienced all types of harassment tell their stories: how they have been treated, how it has changed them, and how they have thought about themselves. What connects them is the desire to promote dialogue and change in order to give women the strength to defend themselves.
